Hi Charlotte, If you go thru the gate on the right side of the church and continue back you will come to a door with an instruction sign on it. If I remember correctly, you push a button and you can go in and walk around the inside of the sanctuary. When we were there the organist was practicing for the Sunday Mass, it was wonderful. You might try calling the church office before you go to see if these instructions are still in use. I am from Covington as well and I have many fond memories of that church block from when I was a little girl. Take care and have fun, Debbie Dinser Miller Kentucky -----Original Message----- From: CharlotteAnneMlr@aol.com [mailto:CharlotteAnneMlr@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2006 3:10 PM To: KYKENTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: *****SPAM***** [KYKENTON] Mother of God Church in Covington In a message dated 8/3/2006 12:57:55 P.M. My Great Uncle Edward Klosterman was the pastor at the Church for about 40 years. He is buried in the floor of the Church. It was the Catholic Church for the Germans in the early years. They do have a website. I have gone to Church there a few times in the recent years and it is still beautiful. My Great Grandfather, Grandfather, father and myself were all baptized at Mother of God. Debi Snow Debi, Thank you, yes it is so beautiful. I have been to Covington so many times and I had never seen the church till a few weeks ago, and I was trying to find my way back to the interstate after I left the library, and that is when I saw it. The next time I go there, I am going to park and take some pictures of it.
