It seems privacy laws are always changing - state, county and industry-wide. The interpretation from one funeral home to another is obviously quite different, let alone from state to state. I have just never run across that severe a restriction before. We have published a local funeral home's records here in Florida from original documents and they cover the years from 1915 to 1945.
