Herman, you did find the Necrology in the Rare Books Dept. of the Cinti. Public Library? I spend a whole afternoon there a couple of years ago while they searched for it for me - and they didn't find it? May I ask....when did you view it? Thanks, Darla The Woodlands, TX
Hey Darla. It's in the Rare Books and Archives area. Had you found your ancestor in the card index in the Genealogy/History department? If you find your ancestor there, there's a call number. I just took the call number to that Archives department and they provided me with the book. It's too bad that it appears the day you went they had a new person or something. It's been almost a year for me since I saw it. This Necrology does in fact include some of the members of the Covington and Newport branch of the Society as well, as Bernard Heinrich Heving is included in it. Unfortunately the information contained therein was horribly incorrect on him, but that's another issue. Bernard's photo wasn't included in it though, and I hadn't even known there were any photos in the books, so that was new and interesting information that Herman sent. When I am there next I will look to see if there are any Schleutkers included.
