Those interested in the German Pioneer Society should consider that there was also a branch in Cincinnati that operated in the later 1800's and early 1900's. Cincinnati Public Library has at least one reference I found, a Necrology, in their rare books department. In this I found a picture of my great grandfather. The Cincinnati Pioneer Society membership requirement included residence prior to a certain date and at least 25 years. Cincinnati Public Library maintains an extensive index card catalog of local individuals and where they are mentioned in various publications.
