    1. Re: [KYKENTON] Names researched (Hellebusch, Helbush)
    2. Dear Miriam, I don't live anywhere close to Kentucky, rather right now I am in possibly the path of the next hurricane coming here in Texas. I have heard of B.H. Hellebusch but do not know much about him. If I remember correctly, he & my 3rd Great Grandmother were born about the same time. She was born about 1839 in Germany. Was thinking maybe this person was her brother or a cousin. Thats about all I know. 3. Hello Rebecca. It appears that most of the Hellebusch's were from either Bavaria or Oldenburg, when I did a search on the IGI. What was her name? Who did she marry? 2. LeeAnn, Mary Helbush married Frank Pieper in 1859, Covington, Kenton Co., Ketucky. Frank Pieper at one time I think worked or lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thats all I remember off the top of my head. Thank you for helping trying to track the Helbush/Hellebusch family. 3. You want to know of another coincidence? Stella Borges (a sister to Johann Dietrich Borges, who married Mary Theresa Heving (daughter of the Bernard Hewing that was good friends with B.H. Hellebusch)) worked for an F. Pieper at his jewelry store in 1919 (and maybe other years as well). I have a copy of a November 26th, 1919 Kentucky Post article that has a picture of her holding a $75 watch donated by F. Pieper to the Kentucky Post for a contest they were having for prettiest girl in Northern Kentucky. In fact, I doubt this a coincidence at all! Mary Theresa Hevings sister in law working for the husband or son of a Hellebusch, a family she was no doubt familiar with through her father's association with Bernard H. Hellebusch! Indeed, I now can bet Bernard and your Mary are closely related. :) I haven't done much research on the Hellebusch's - since I'm not related to them. I will keep my eyes open though as I'm doing research at the Covington library for any clues that may help link your Mary to Bernard, and their place of origin. If you hadn't told me this, I wouldn't have known the connection! What's even more interesting is I just TODAY printed that article out at the Covington library and recieved your email with his name the same evening! No doubt F. Pieper was very old by then, would he not be? Or maybe it's his sons jewelry store? Wouldn't that be wierd it if did turn out a coincidence and that F. Pieper wasn't your F. Pieper or his son?
