Carol, I did not post the original message, but I am interested in the Stephens family of Campbell/Kenton Counties. Would you by chance have any information on Anna/Ann Stephens? Anna would have been born about 1805. She married first, James Mann and second George Northcutt. Anna's first husband, James, died young leaving her a young widow with one small child. According to the index "Kenton County Kentucky Index #1", compiled by W.W. Hoffman, John Reinhart, age 23 of Kenton Co., a farmer born in Germany, married Louisa W. Kratan age 16, of Covington (with consent of her mother) also born Germany on 11/18/1866 (License issued on 11/11). Only additional info in the index is that the parents of both were also born in Germany. Best wishes, Ann Bergelt Florida
John b. July, 1840 and Minnie Reinhart b. Sept 1850 m. about 1867, had 12 children, 8 were living in 1900 Bromley, Kenton, Kentucky. Children listed in 1900 Census were: George G. b. 1880, Mary b. 1885, Edward b. 1888, Martin b. 1891 and Norah b. 1883, a daughter-in-law. Children were born in Ohio. John was a farmer. He was born in Ky and both his parents in Germany. Lots of Reinharts in Ludlow/Bromley back in the day. Good luck, hope this helps you. I know a Lucy Willhoite, d of Norville S Willhoite and Almira Jane Willhoite, married a George Caldwell. They were in Owen County. George and Lucy are in 100F outside of Owenton, KY. Well one never knows.
Hi, HELP! We are about at the end of our rope searching for the marriage of this couple, so we are searching all possible counties, where they might have married. We are searching for more information on this couple. They were married about 1902 possibly in Campbell County. Unfortunately, they are not listed in the marriage index, because we have already checked it. Preston, their oldest child was born in Butler, Pendleton County, Kentucky. A kind soul looked in her book of Pendleton County marriages and their marriage was not listed in that book. Her father was George W. CALDWELL of Butler, Kentucky. Alice was born in Butler and she is buried in the IOOF Cemetery there. She died in Latonia in 1912 and left three small children, Preston, Marguerite and Valley S. without a mother. After her death we are not sure whether Charles W. remarried or not or just what happened to him. Charles W. according to the 1910 census was born in Tennessee and so were his parents. His father was Charles E. MILLER and he was also born in Tennessee. Charles W.'s mother was ......SWAIN. This has proven to be our brick wall. Thank you for any information that you might be able to give us. Karla Nurnberg --------------------------------- Yahoo! Mail Bring photos to life! New PhotoMail makes sharing a breeze.
I am searching for information on the Shea family of Covington, KY. In 1900 they lived at 601 Greenup. John was a salesman, Elizabeth was a teacher/principal in the public school, Ella was also a teacher, Anna L. was an artist, James and Patrick ??? I can not find info after 1900 census. I tried contacting the public schools several times but not luck. Anyone have information ??? Thanks Kathleen
I'm looking for a marriage record of William Boyd Short, married to Caroline Wariner or Warren. Their only child, Charles McPherson Short. On Charles death certificate it mentions his parents names.. The closest that I can figure out that William probably got married in the late 60's but no later then 1872, because that's when Charles McPherson Short was born. I have not been able to place William Boyd Short on the 1870 census. So I want to think that he was married after 1870 but no later then 1872. Remember Charles was born in 1872. If you happen to have a marriage record book on hand could you please check the index. for William Boyd Short and Caroline Wariner or Warren. Charlotte

Surnames: SCHAMBACH, DORN, EMIG, HILLENBRAND Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BBB.2ACI/2006 Message Board Post: I would like to contact anyone descended from the SCHAMBACH family who emigrated from Bensheim, Hesse Darmstadt, Germany at various times in the late 1800s and/or early 1900s. Philip SCHAMBACH (b 1872-d.1938) had a bakery in Covington and I believe his wife Dora and son George continued with it after his death in 1938. I have found a record of 6 children (of Jacob SCHAMBACH and Katherine BEST) who were born in Bensheim and emigrated to Kenton Co., Campbell Co., and Cincinnati, Ohio. Names were: George, (b 1865 ).....Mary, (b 1870-d 1953) married to (unknown) MABIUS.....Philip, (b 1872-d 1938)..... Barbara, (b 1874).....William J, (b abt 1876).....and Catherine, (b abt 1884). I have been researching the SCHAMBACH family of Bensheim for the past 2 years and have much data on the "old" ancestors. My most recently dated research ends with the siblings of my greatgrandfather, Georg SCHAMBACH, b 1824 to Johann Theobald and Katharine (DORN) SCHAMBACH. Georg emigrated in the mid 1800s and settled in York Co., PA. I would like to know the grandparents of the Kentucky family (parents of Jacob SCHAMBACH) so I can place them in my family file. As far as I can determine the SCHAMBACHs in Bensheim all descend from the same couple in the 1600s. Thanks so much for reading this! I'm hoping someone out there can help! Helen, from Pennsylvania
