    1. Re: [KYKENTON] Mary STEPHENS - 1940's-1960's Covington
    2. Mary Stephens taught Geography at John G. Carlisle School in Covington during the 1950's (she taught me!). Seems like I just saw her her death notice at maybe age 97 in the online edition of the Kentucky Post in 2005. She never married, but that's about all I know about her. You might try the Post for that obit. Darla The Woodlands, TX

    3. Does anyone have a Mary STEPHENS in their database? I'm not sure, but she may have taught at Holmes High School in Covington sometime between the 1940's and 1960's. I know nothing else about her. When my pat. grandmo., Clara G. EATON, taught at Holmes High School, she had a friend by the name of Mary STEPHENS, and I'm trying to learn a little more about her to add to my grandmo.'s history. Would sure appreciate any tidbits anyone might have. Thanks. Nancy Edwards nsedwards@bellsouth.net - Georgia -

    1. Re: [KYKENTON] Re: Death Certificates
    2. Hi Mille. You can go to the Kentucky Genweb site and look on the Kentucky Death Index. There are people who will go and get a copy of one if you find the person on the death index. You take the information from there and then send an email to one of the volunteers on the site and they will get a copy for you for a small copying fee. Margaret

    3. Mille, When it doubt of where to find a record for Kentucky, I always use the Frankfort Historical Society Research. After 1911 you usually can find them on ancestry.com. If you are not a member, let me know and I will look the name up for you. Remember lots of people have the same name, so a time frame would help. Linda Linda Redman Evans

    1. Surname Inventory from the My PAF file
    2. miriam
    3. Hello everyone. I hope everybody is well and your research is progressing. I decided to take a complete inventory of all the surnames in my PAF files and create a list to send out. I've sent out lists before, but this one is more indepth, and I've done more research since my last submission to these listservs. The names I've included are all surnames that have two or more entries in my files, so there are many more surnames, but they only include one individual. They are also from Hamilton County (OH), Kenton County (KY) and Campbell County (KY). As many of you know, people crossed the river all the time, so I thought it would be best to make one list and send it to both mailing lists. Some of these surnames I have a good deal of information on, others, as mentioned above, may include as little as two individuals. If anyone has any questions, comments, additions, contributions, etc, let me know. I have about a little less than a month of research to do on the "Desce! ndants of Bernard Heinrich Heving and Maria Gesina Brink and the Ancestry of Allied Families, 1st edition" and it will be available at the Covington library by the end of summer (they are sending it out for binding once I donate a copy to them). "The Descendants of Johann Andreas Borges and the Ancestry of Allied Families, 1st edition" was donated a few months ago and has been assigned a call number at the library, but is still in processing. These are just first editions and are not ends to a project. There will be missing data and I will continue my research. There are surnames in this list that are not included in either document. Surnames with stars next to the name are surnames that have 2 or more possible spelling variations. Sorry for the long email.
