Surnames: Medlen Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.kenton/485.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi, Beth. I still had my last email to you from back in July. Sorry I didn't ever follow through--I was tied up but that is behind me. We were going to talk on the phone. I know that my dad's half-sister Elizabeth was married to Henry Clay Medlen (Medlin). I've got quite a bit of info on them and, living here in Northern Kentucky, I've got access to all sorts of records, either at the Kenton County Public Library or I am just an hour from the Kentucky archives. I can probably fill in some holes for you. I have to admit that I have drifted away my family research, but I would like to help you. Mary Palmer
My surnames are: REGAN, KRUSE, PURDY and YOUNGER. Would be happy to hear from anyone researching these names. Bob in Florida
My 4th great grandfather, patriot Stephen Collins, is listed as having residence in Kenton Co., in 1840. I do not know how long he lived there. He died in 1841. He and his wife, Dolly Olmstead Collins, also lived in Campbell Co as early as 1815, and they are buried in Old Burlington Cemetery, in Boone Co. Their children were Marcus, Charlotte, William, Amos, Richard (my 3rd great grandfather, Benjamin, Minerva, Prudence, Harriet and Lewis. Is anyone researching this family?
