Hello, all; I mentioned this a while back and did not follow up. I wrote a few years ago to the Allison and Rose Funeral Home on Madison in Covington to ask for information on the funeral of my great-grandmother and possibly other members of her family. The reply I received said they did not provide that information due to privacy concerns. It seems rather unusual, even with today's various reasons for caution, as this death occurred almost 100 years ago (1909). I will be visiting the area in a few weeks. Will it do me any good to visit the office in person, or does anyone have additional suggestions? This is a really important piece of information for me, as this great-grandmother was widowed very early after immigrating from Ireland and I have never learned what happened to the husband. Try the kenoton co. public library. They have an amazing number of death records on file. Emma birthdate: 1891; died 1972, Miami FL. I have scoured the KY Census for Emma. She may have grown up in another state and moved to KY...There is a Leary family in Kenton or Fleming County at the right time, but no Emma (Emma Julia?) Leary is listed as daughter. The family of Elisha Campbell is well documented by census. Kenton County Birth Records indicate Emma and Elisha's first son, James L. Campbell was born 12/4/1915; their second child, Kathleen Campbell was born in West VA in 1923. In 1920 Elisha, Emma and family are living in Jacksonville FL; 1930, they are living in Miami, FL. I would deeply appreciate any information about the family of Emma Leary.
