I'm not researching the Overstreets, but coincidently was just reading today's obits in the KY Post and saw the following. It contains names of some living KY Overstreets whom you may want to contact at some point. Mary M. Overstreet, 83, of Ghent, died Sunday at Frzauer Rehabilitation Center, Louisville. She was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal Church, Carrollton. Her husband, Clyde Overstreet, died in 1976. Survivors include a son, Clyde Franklin Overstreet of Warsaw; daughters, Janice Lewellyn and Mary Ann McGuire, both of Ghent, Gladys Bird of Williamsburg and Kathy Shaffer of Columbia; a sister, Betty Whittaker of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 29 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, in Carrollton, and from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Broad Ridge Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
