This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Reeves, Childs, Lyons, Wooley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BBB.2ACI/1917 Message Board Post: I would like information about Alexander Lyons. He was born in Missouri 17 March 1851 to Alexander Lyons (born Germany about 1818, a clothier) and Elizabeth Jane Childs b. 15 Nov, 1826, Maryland and died in Indiana in 1852. Alexander and his older sister Blanche came to Covington where they lived in the household of Austin Smith Reeves and Catherine Cecelia Childs. Both children appear in the 1860 census for Covington Ward 7. By the 1870 census, Blanche was married to the Hamilton County, Ohio farmer George Wooley, and Alexander has disappeared. Are there death indexes for 1860-1870? Other search suggestions most welcome. Bob

Notes for Johann Herman Heinrich Heving: According to the "Die Deutschen Pionier-Verein von Covington" obituary of his son Bernard Heinrich the younger, he died in Wheeling, West Virginia. At this time I am still unable to prove this, but will continue to look into this situation. According to the obituary, the family also immigrated to the United States in 1838 - once again, no confirmation of this information. Ok guys, here's the last one I sent to the list serv. The only one that would apply to your two mailing lists would in fact be the first (the others are in Germany), so I've deleted those. Anyway, I will also be sending over the next few days, more family group sheets of descendancy of my various Cincinnati and Covington ancestors. Any questions on those, please do email me. Hi Carol. It may have been my request you saw. I am right in the middle of moving. The only thing here at my new house is my computer.....hooked up :)) but no desk. I am in the frog position on the floor typing this. I don't think this is my John MARTIN though. He was married in 1838 so he would be a little older. He was born in Fredericksburg, Maryland...but I can't remember the date offhand. I appreciate you looking it up. He had a son John who was born in Ohio but I believe it was in the 1840's. Thanks, Margaret

Can anyone tell me Which County is Ludlow in? Thanks, Crystal
Thanks Ann for your help. I am pretty sure this Jerusha is the mother of Charles Orr Hale. I found Jerusha with her husband Edmund R. Hale in the 1860 New Hampshire census. They had a son listed named Charles. According to the information that someone sent me a number of years ago this Charles is the father of Edmund P. Hale and Cora Miranda Hale. Sincerely, Renee Werth Hi, Renee; I checked that 1870 census entry on HeritageQuest and they have it indexed as Jerusha Hale, which it certainly appears to me to be. Jerusha and Flora were born in NH. The name of the family they are living with was also certainly CARPENTER - Albert, Mary and Edward. Best wishes, Ann Bergelt Florida ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived. Am looking for parents names for Ruben Saner, born in Germany about 1844. His wife's name may have been Anna. In the 1880 census, he's listed as a widower with many children. One of which was my great grandfather. Another was named Ruben, Jr. Don't know when he emigrated. Anyone out there with info on the Saner family? Carol Sanman
