Judy, I am sorry, checked the 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920 and couldn't find your Linzie or anything that sounded like that. 1900 Johnson Co. Census House #24 in the Barnets Creek, Oil Springs area there is a Fleming Griffith who is a boarder in the house of Allen Collin. He is 25, born Dec. 1874. (1910 he is married to Nannie with three children, Garthie 12, and a set of twins; Jessie R (s) and Joda M. (d) both 2 mos. old) House #36 same district there is a family of Griffiths: John -H Sept 1869 30 M 10 years born in Ky and so were parents Rebecca - W Oct 1872 27 M 10 years has had 3 children all living Clarence - S- Sept 1893 6 S Mary M. - D - Aug 1896 3 S Edith - D - Feb 1898 2 S *Elisha - Partner Sept 1871 25 Single born in Ky and so were parents House # 38 same district Robert Griffith H July 1866 33 M 14 years born in Ky Anna - W Feb 1864 36 M 14 years has 7 children all living Burns - s- Dec 1886 13 Mary E.- d- Jan 1888 12 William E. - s- Mar 1890 10 Francis M. - s- June 1892 7 Julia - d - Apr 1894 6 Matty M. -d - May 1896 4 Chester A. - s- March 1898 2 (In the 1910 census she has had two more children-------Lawrence who is 9 and Bob who is 7) (This Lawrence could be nicknamed Linzie?) Also listed in the 1920 is a widow named Hannah Griffith who is 27 and has had 3 children 2 of which are living, Wayne 8, and Jim B. 2. That is the complete listings for 1900 and 1910.
