Hi Amy, I am searching for DANIEL in Kentucky; don't know if they were ever in Johnson Co., KY but here they are: Joseph DANIEL, died in hospital in Cumberland Fort, KY (now Pineville, Bell Co.,KY.) He is buried in Pineville, Bell Co., KY; and his wife, Levisa Greenlee DANIEL is buried in Laurel Bridge, Laurel Co., KY. She died at her home 29 Aug. 1897. Joseph DANIEL died 9 May 1862 in the hospital from a disease related to his Union Army Service. John Lewis DANIEL, lived in Laurel Co., KY with his wife, Nancy (unknown maiden name) she was born in KY in 1845. They had a son, William Lewis DANIEL, born in Laurel Co., KY June 30, 1865. John Lewis DANIEL and Nancy ? were married 02/08/1864 and we don't know; but think, they were married in Kentucky since they moved to Madison Co., NC and were there for the 1870 census. I have been unable to get a birth certificate for William Lewis Daniel. I hoped I would get it from London, KY, County Seat for Laurel Co., but they don't have a birth certificate for him there. His mother's maiden name would be on that birth certificate and that is what I'm searching for. I doubt you are connected to this Daniel line but I thought it was worth a try.
