Cousin Bill, I am deeply touched by the posting I just read from you. I created this list so that we Johnson County researchers would have a place to come together to share our lines, find new cousins, swap stories and share a few laughs. I did not do it for personal gain or ego. I did it through my love for Johnson County and its heritage. I did it also because this is one thing I can do for the county and by that, I mean keep it alive. As long as we communicate on this list, talk about our ancestors, share their stories, realize their hardships, etc. , we are keeping their memory alive. We are not letting them be forgotten. I realize, at times, I let guidelines, rules and regulations overpower my heart, but without a certain amount of those, a list can run astray and never be brought back to the original origin. Which in a way can be compared with Rory Kennedy's (so called) documentary on Eastern Kentucky. A few comments here and there make me look like a heartless machine, which I am not. Rory's document makes Eastern Kentuckians look like idiots, which they are not. It is you Bill, that deserves the thanks here, not me!! And I apologize for not seeing the true meaning of your first posting! May this be the best Christmas ever for you and yours! Ann
