I don't know about the families you mentioned, but there is a lady on my mailing list whose husband is of the Lowe family. In fact, I sent her a very old picture album recently (from an auction in southern Oklahoma). The album had a lot of Lowes in it. All pictures were indentified, some from the 1860's.
