Hello Freddy & Season's Greetings! My gg aunt Lucy Ann Ramey married David D. Branham in Johnson County, KY Feb 26, 1855. I have not researched the Branham family as yet and would appreciate any information about that line. Lucy Ann was the daughter of John Ramey. Her mother is in question as of this writing. It was thought that Emily Stratton was her mother but deeper research has shown that Emily married John in Pike County on Mar 3, 1846. It appears that Emily first married a Stratton, then a Ramey and finally a Rice! John Rice first married Malinda (Melinda) Powell in Pike County Mar 13, 1834. I believe Malinda to be the mother of John's three children; Serillda, Lucy Ann b. abt. 1837 and son Thomas J. Ramey. Serillda the oldest child of John is my gg grandmother. Serillda married James H. Haws (wrongly reported on the Johnson Co. site) Feb. 10, 1852. Best Regards, Jim Hawes lpreston wrote: > Hi Freddy & welcome to the list.
