Upon making a heritage album, I discovered a slight error in my database, which leads to another family: The Jaynes. Family history states that Civiller (I've seen many spellings) was a full blooded Cherokee. She married Robert Jonathan Stambaugh on 16 Nov. 1859. Her marriage record lists her as 15. Death record lists 20 in 1861. Census for 1850 lists an 8 year old Civiller with Civiller & Daniel Jayne as parents. She had one child, Lavina who later married Francis Marion Preston. Does anyone have further information on her? Is the census record for 1850 the same individual that married Robert Jonathan Stambaugh? Is anyone else researching the Jayne family?
