Hello all, I'm interested in the descendants of John Stapleton and Margaret Salyer. John was the son of Thomas Stapleton, born in Virginia, ca 1829. Margaret was the daughter of William Salyer, born in Virginia, ca 1930. They moved from Virginia to Johnson County and later moved to Magoffin County. I think some of the older children had married and remained in Johnson County. John was hanged in 1884 and Margaret and the youngest 6 children moved to Carter County, Kentucky. My grandfather, Noah, was one of those younger children. I'm like to know more about those children of John and Margaret who stayed behind in Johnson/Magoffin Counties.
