Very well said, Ron! We are on the brunt end of jokes, and basically are viewed as ignorant hill people. The media makes us look like uneducated, lazy slobs. I resent that to the very core of my being. They do not show the beauty of our state, nor do they recognize the fine colleges and vocational schools we have. They comb the area looking for the worst possible scenario and play that off as a representation of the entire Eastern section of Kentucky. We know alot more than the big city suits. We know the value of family and tradition verses the high paced conglomerate world where no one trusts anyone nor has time for family and friends.
