I am curious about the Salyer's of Floyd, later Johnson County. I was in contact with a Salyer's descendant some months ago. He stated that the family name had been spelled Sayers as well as Salyer and Salyers? Does anyone have any information as to rather this is a fact? Also, did this family live in Augusta County, VA before migrating to Fayette, later Mason, later Fleming, later Floyd and then Johnson & Lawrence County as the lines or boarders changed?
