I am wondering if anyone has information about the Coffee family. We have 3 people with the last name of Coffee in our family file. They were married to Gambill siblings. My husband is a direct descendant of Chilton and Miram (#3 below). We do not know if the Coffee's were also siblings. Does anyone have information about this family? 1. Elizabeth Coffee was married to Sherman Gambill b Bet. 1849 - 1867 in Lawrence County, Kentucky 2. Isaac Coffee was married to Sallie Gambill b. Bet. 1849 - 1867 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. 3. Miram Jane Coffee b. 1869 in Indiana d. 1909 in Redbush, Kentucky was married to Chilton Jeams Gambill b. Bet. 1860 - 1861 in Tennessee. They were married on October 01, 1885 in Tennessee. Miram's heritage was of French-Indian descent. Her mother was 1/2 Cherokee and 1/2 French. In 1884, at the age of 15, she married Chilton Jeams Gambill. They moved to Redbush, Kentucky. They reared four children, two boys and two girls. She died in 1909 of consumption, a lung disease, probably brought on by the long hours working in the tobacco fields. Any help will be appreciated.
