    3. Kim, I probably haven't replied to you, so I will now. If I have already, please excuse my redundancy. All I have to blame is my poor email management. My Tacketts are: Machelle Tackett b. ca 1760, d. 1793, m. Eleazer "Old Ealy" Lemaster in KY (I am a 6th GGrandson via their daughter Sarah Elizabeth Lemaster m. Jesse Osborn of Mud Lick, Johnson Co.) Machelle was the first wife of Eleazer. He had 4 children by her (Elijah, Sarah Elizabeth, Frances "Big Frank", and Lewis) and (I assume after her death) he married Rachel Remy ca 1793 and had many other little Lemasters. William Tackett b. ca 1710-1740, father of Machelle. Frances Tackett b. 1777 d. 1842, m. John Lemaster (brother of Eleazer)in KY, had 9 children and finished their days in Missouri. Frances may be Machelle's sister as they married brothers - - not an unusual practice of that time when families were pretty isolated. One of John L. and Frances T.'s daughters, Sally Lemaster b. ca 1800, m. a William Tackett, but I have no dates for their marriage or his birth. Last I have a Harold Dean Tackett m. Joyce Ann Lewis. Joyce descends from James Theophilus Lewis and Wintry Henson. Wintry is my 5th GGrand Aunt. (It is interesting how these families meet, seperate, and then come together again in later years). Harold and Joyce had 5 children, Jackie Dean, Janet Lee, Terry Lynn, Velda Ann and Vickie Sue - - all girls I believe. Obviously I have more Tackett research to do, but other lines are higher up on the priority list now, so I "listen" and add info as I glean it. There is a Tackett Family Association. It is very active, has reunions, etc. and is headed up by a fellow in Concord, CA who is a retired teacher and a real genealogist. His name is James Tackitt, and his address is 1830 Johnson Dr., Concord, CA, 94520. I think the web site is: http://www.jps.net/jtackitt/index.html Give that a try. I hope that this isn't redundant info that you know already.
