Hi, Peg. I'm new here! This is so much fun!!! I am a Holbrook from Johnson County. My Gfather was Dave Holbrook. My Gmother was Bessie Smith. They were from the Smith Creek area. I think the mail goes to Mima, KY. My father is buried in the Holbrook Cemetery along two uncles. His name was Ora Whipple Holbrook, his brother was Willis Edward. My time is so limited, but I have wanted to do this for so long. My mother's family is quite the mystery. She comes from Floyd County. Weeksbury or Wheelright area. The Newsome/Dawson sides. I have hit so many dead ends. But I'll keep trekking on. I know there are people out there I can find information from. I hope to hear from you so we can compare notes. It is such a wonderful heritage, I especially miss the August meetings.
