    3. Betty, I have little doubt about the hollering. My closest connection to you would be via the Hitchcock and Remy/Ramey lines as far as VA and KY are concerned. I do have Mankins records but altho I suspect a direct connection, I have yet to establish it fully. It would be through the Bracken and Stahlcup families of the Delaware Valley - - Peter married a Rachel Bracken whose father was a Bracken and mother a Stahlcup. Rachel's first husband was a Zachariah Lewis to who I am likely related. My main lines Osborn/Osburn, Lemaster, Henson, Lyons, Nickell, Little, and Perdue must have known/been connected to the Washington Co. AR Mankins as they were early settlers there, and I still have much family in Haxel Valley, Somerset, Winslow, Fayetteville, etc. AR. I am sure they did a little Hollerin' there too, or moonshinin', or both. Bill Mattheis -----Original Message----- From: Betty J. Some of our ancestors may have hollered across the hills to each other. I'd like to hear some of the first names of your ties in the Mankins, Hitchcock, etc. families. My directs are---Arbuth and Laura Schofield Nott moved to Floyd Co via NY and OH. Son, William H. H. Nott married Phebe Remy, d/o John Remy, Jr and Peggy Hitchcock. My ties to the Mankins family occurred after the whole bunch moved to Washington Co AR. William and Phebe Nott's son, John A. A. Nott married Sarah Fine, d/o of William B. Fine and Millie Mankins. Millie was d/o of Peter Mankins, Sr. Peter's mother, Masa, was reportedly a full-blood Delaware Indian. I've also found English, German, Dutch, French, Swedish, Irish and Scots. email me direct if you wish. beejay@datalinkok.com (And anyone else interested.) re the Lemaster family. My Fines would probably come close if not exceed being as prolific as you-all say the Lemasters are. I have no direct tie but would like to say that one of the nicest correspondents that I have had the pleasure of exchanging letters with, is Johnnie Lemaster. If any of you know him, say Hello for me. To All on the List: May your Christmas be joyous and the coming year the best ever! A Jayhawker (born), Okie (adopted), Ozarker (proud of it) Betty J.
