This is to Mary in Ohio: My files show a JAMES HENRY MCKENZIE b. 1803 in Scott County, Virginia and d. 1863 in Johnson County, Kentucky. He was married to FRANCES ESTEP, birth & death dates unknown. They settled in Sitka, Kentucky. JAMES HENRY MCKENZIE'S parents were JOHN MCKENZIE b. about 1775 -1780. He was married to MARTHA PATSY COCKE/COX b. about 1777 - 1784. I do not know who the parents of JAMES HENRY MCKENZIE were. However, someone told me his father may be HUGO MCKENZIE and the mother's name Bridget? This has not been proven. This seems to be the brick wall that everyone has run into. I do show the parents of MARTHA PATSY COCKE/COX to be DAVID CLINTON COCKE/COX and JEMIMA LEACH; then hit the brick wall again.
