    3. Hi Freddy & welcome to the list. Your grandfather John Verazzano is my 1st cousin 3 times removed. His grandparents were Shadrack Ward & Lavina Hylton. Their son Jeff Davis was my great grandfather. He lived until I was 19 years old so I had the pleasure of knowing him. As you can see, I live in Ohio and would like to share information if possible! Contact me at lpreston@neo.rr.com if you would like to exchange information. I look forward to hearing from you. I have however been reading the posts whenever I can to see whats up. I'm now about 4 days behind. LOL > This is sure an active list and I'm glad I subscribed. I recognize quite a few names from some other lists as well, and some of you folks have kindly sent me info. > I descend from John Verazzano and Sarah Jane (Branham) Ward. Their daughter Mahala Ward Sturgell was my grandma. She was born and raised in Offutt, Johnson Co. Thats why I subscribed to this list. Hopefully I will have more time for research soon and can contribute instead of lurking, but for now I enjoy reading the posts. > I thought I should introduce myself now seeing as there is a possibility some of us will be seeing each other in Johnson Co. I havn't finished reading all my e-mail so we'll see about whats gonna come of that! I was hoping to head up that way this spring or summer anyhow, and take a walk up the hill where John and Sarah Jane are buried up from the old home place. Maybe the timing will be right.
