Has anyone thought that it would be a great community service to have the high school kids transcribe birth, death and misc. records onto the net. Here in Michigan in high school the kids must perform some type of community service in order to graduate. They do anything that may is good public relations or good for the area. The Johnson County Historical Society can perhaps approach the area high schools. Maybe someone in Johnson and Adjoining Co. would be able to check that out. They could work in teams. One to type and one to check the compiled data. It would be a great boon for all of us armchair researchers. I'd gladly donate to something like that and for a pizza party for the kids later.
