The 1900 Johnson Co KY Census has a Martin Salyer age- 33 born Jan 1867 in KY,so are both his parents he is married to a Jane age-34 born Aug 1865, born in KY and Father born in Va , Mother born in KY.They have been married for 8 years and have had 5 children of which only 3 lives, at this time. They are: Troy T. Salyer son age 3 born-Jul. 1896 in KY Oma Salyer dau age 2 born-May 1898 in KY. Babe Salyer son age 9 months born 1900 in KY. - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The 1910 Johnson Co KY Census has a Martin Salyer age 43 married for 18 years to Nancy J. age 45. This census list her Father as being born in Va and her Mother in KY. Martin & Nancy have had 8 children in there marriage of which 5 lives, at this time. They are: Troy Salyer son age 13 Oma Salyer dau age 12 Edward Salyer son age 7 - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1920 Johnson Co KY Census has Martin Salyer age 53 married to Nancy J. age 53, with 4 children living in there household They Were: Troy Salyer age 23 Edward Salyer age 18 Delcie Salyer dau age 15 Cova Salyer dau age 10 Bessie McKenzie (niece) age 5 - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Appalachia Crossroads by Clayton Cox there is this bit of information on this family: Edward Salyer b-May 1 1900 Hoods Fork, Blaine, Johnson Co KY son of Mart & Jane Stapleton Salyer, married Mae Fairchild Sep 22 1922 at Miller Fairchilds, Mae was b-May 28 1903 in Johnson Co KY the dau of Alonzo M Fairchild & Mary Emma Caudill. Mae died Oct 3 1974 and is buried in the Salyer Cemetery , Sitka, Johnson Co KY. (Mae was also had a twin sister named Maxine). Edward was a United Baptist Minister, he was also the grandson of Henry & Elina Jones Salyer. Hope this has a little something in it you can use. Regards
