We had sauerkraut and ribs also but after living in the south so many years we don't take any chances so in keeping with the tradition of the area we also had black-eyed peas and hog jowls. It seams that most all areas have some sort of cabbage dish for News Years, does anyone know how this all got started ? Would be interesting to find out.
