Hi Roger, My maternal grandpa was a Sturgell. Steve Sturgell from Lawrence Co KY. He married my grandma Mahala Ward from Johnson Co. His brother Sandy married Mahalas sister Lavina in 1894 (I think). Sound like your line? Oh, Steve's folks were William and Susan Young Sturgell, I think they were from Lawrence Co too. I havn't looked into this line as of yet. Steve and Sandy both moved to Ohio to work with the railroad. First Pike Co, OH and later Ross Co.
