The East Kentuckian March 1980 Eleanor jayne, b ca 1797/8 in Washington Co., VA., m in Floyd Co., KY., April 4, 1813, Francis "Big Frank" Lemaster, b ca 1793, S.C., son of Eleazor and Machell (Tackett) Lemaster. Frank's Creek in the Winifred area of Johnson County reportedly was named for Big Frank. His Lemaster family had migrated through Knott County, KY. on their movement from S.C. to Johnson County. Frank died of Lung Fever in Johnson County, Sept 29, 1858. The 1850 Johnson County census shows William Jayne, a farmer, age 74 was living in the household adjacent to his dau Eleanor. The 1860 census lists William as age 85 and living in his dau, Eleanor's household.
