If you are interested in that particular cemetary and want to find out some good information on the Prestons buried there...., contact Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville. Last year when I was in Paintsville, I was having trouble finding the cemetary and called the funeral home for directions. The Preston that I talked to not only knew where the cemetary was, but said that his family was buried in that cemetary. You can not see the cemetary from the road. You have to enter through a gate just after you pass the railroad tracks, and go up and around the hill to find it. Anyway, he was very helpful, and more important, willing to share information. Chris, I think the cemetery you are describing is the Preston Cemetery and that is off KY1107. We were talking about the Welch Cemetery off KY 1145 Which is past the tracks, after the Wheeler Cem but before the Paintsville Golf Course. Your idea to call the Preston Funeral Home is a fantastic one, as perhaps they can make the connection to our Preston in the Welch cemetery. Thanks for the advice and hint!!!
