Well, Anna Jewell was an aunt of mine which I never knew. This was a big controversy with our family for many years because of the obituary given of Anna Jewell. Know one knows who placed it in the paper, but it wasn't anyone from her side of the family. There was never a third child or a birth / death certificate for a third child? I guess spousal abuse was more common then due to the lack of laws to protect the victims, being mostly women at that time. I have often wondered what happen to Ova Lee, but can't seem to find anything on him for my records and of course it is still a sensitive subject to by uncles and my father do I don't ask. Herbert, I have Ova Lee as dying in 1975 in Ohio. I've listed his death record below. It seems that ordering a copy of Anna Jewell's death certificate would confirm her cause of death? Even if the paper was given false information, the death certificate should be accurate. You might try ordering a copy. Hope this helps.
