Bill: I show that he married Anna Jewell Grimm. She was the daughter of Herbert Grimm and Alka Daniel. They were married Nov 27, 1940 in Johnson County. Anna was born 1-31-1923 and died 2-8-1944. I only had two children, Anna June, & Robert Lee. She also had an infant two months before she died. It was complications of that birth that caused her death per her obituary. Obituary - Paintsville Herald Thursday 2-10-1944 Mrs. Annie Jewell VanHoose, Lowmansville, died in the Golden Rule Hospital Tuesday morning. Her death was attributed to complications following the birth of a baby two months ago. Her husband Ova Lee Van Hoose and two children mourn her passing. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Sycamore Church, of which church she was a member. The Elder Caldwell was in charge.
