I am researching my father James Forbes Taylor(1900-1944). I am a son from his third known marriage. I am very interested in his first marriage. The information is contained in a letter to my mother concerning the veteran's death benefits that I would receive. My father died in March and I was born in August of 1944. The paragraph from the Adjudicator for the Veteran's Administration concerning my father's first marriage is as follows: "Evidence in the file indicates the existance of a previous wife of the above veteran. In a communication in 1930 the veteran mentioned a Mrs. Alka Taylor as his wife and gave his address as care of W.D. Rivers, Leander, Ky." I am hoping that someone on this forum has a Taylor/Rivers connection and can help with information about this first marriage. I am very interested in if there were any children.
