Hello all. Can anyone give me any information on Ross Smith or his family, located in the Redbush area in the 1920-30`s ? My mother and her sister are trying to recall the name of his eldest daughter that married Rady(spelling?) McKenzie? This is for my Mom and any help would be appreciated. Barb Johnson Williston, FL e-mail: ronbar@atlantic.net
Sharon, Thanks for the info unfortunately it's not the same Edward Salyer. He's buried in a Salyer cemetery but not this one. Kris, I do not have any information regarding Edward Salyer other than what is listed on Page 21 of the "Johnson County Ky. Cemeteries Vol 2." The cemetery is called "Tilman Craft Cemetery" and is located on Rt. 201, .25 mile on south side of road west of Rt. 1092. Located on the old Edward Salyer place. Edward Salyer is listed as buried there. (Edward Salyer May 1, 1900 - October 5, 1983.) There are several Salyer family members listed. I am guessing that Mae Salyer (May 28, 1903 - October 3, 1974) might be his wife? This cemetery can be found at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jccem/CEMLIST/CRAFTTILMANCEM.html Hope this helps you. Sharon McKenzie found him listed in vol. 2 as Lonzie Stapleton. I really appreciate everyones efforts on this. You all are great. Thanks, Bill
Hi Sharon, I saw your post to Bill and was wondering if you knew any information about the old Edward Salyer place and who he was or any family he belonged to. Bill: I have an Alonzo Stapleton, husband of Neva Price. This Alonzo is the son of Mary Arrowood & Roscoe Stapleton. I show he is buried in Huff Cemetery, Johnson Co., KY. Does that sound like who you are looking for? Bill, Johnson County Cemetery book volume 2 lists a Lonzie Stapleton 1874-1908 buried at the Tilman Craft Cemetery. Located on Rt. 201, .25 mile on south side of road west of Rt 1092 on old Edward Salyer place. Just a chance this might be what you are looking for, but thought it might be worth mentioning.
