If you write to the chamber of Commerce I am sure that they would send you a Paintsville Map. While in Paintsville last week we stopped at the Shoney's and picked one up. It shows all the cemeteries that are in Paintsville. There are lots!!!! It shows Paintsville and Johnson Co. Maybe you can get someone from Paintsville to mail you one. If need be let me know and I will photocopy this one and send it out to you. You may try to email Moore Reality who was one of the sponsors of the map (which means they will have them in the office) and ask real nice I am sure they may help. That email is eramore@foothills.net Linda Moore is listed as the broker. Never hurts to ask I say. Just a reminder that in Internet terms, typing in all CAPS means shouting. It is also much harder to read in all CAPS. Ann

Have you seen an obit for BRIDIE CASTLE. She lived in McDowell.

Salyer, in her book "The Salyer Family" says her lineage is not proven and speculates her father may have been a Benjamin Salyer but she did not name a child Benjamin while she did name one Zachariah. Salyer, Salyers and Saylor are all variations of the same name, and this family really varied it! Best wishes, Earl B. Akers, Sr. Puyallup WA

Gloria, I do not know is first name but it sounded like Asa. The gentleman who told me this was well into his 80's and I had my northerner ears on. I didn't want to ask him again as it seem to distress him. He stated that when James was on his death bed he told that the person that killed ?Castle..she was still alive. That it was Mrs. Castle. Next time I go hunting I will take a tape recorder. It is to hard to write and listen too.
