    3. I am curious about the Salyer's of Floyd, later Johnson County. I was in contact with a Salyer's descendant some months ago. He stated that the family name had been spelled Sayers as well as Salyer and Salyers? Does anyone have any information as to rather this is a fact? Also, did this family live in Augusta County, VA before migrating to Fayette, later Mason, later Fleming, later Floyd and then Johnson & Lawrence County as the lines or boarders changed? 3. Marianne & Bud, Do either of you have a Benjamin Stambaugh who married Sarah Remy/Ramey 17 Apr 1851 Johnson Co.? Two of their children were James (b. 30 Apr 1853) & Elizabeth Ann (b. 26 Bef 1855). I am wondering who Sarah's parents were, and any other info on the family would be helpful. Thanks, Michele ---------- > From: Marianne Hitchcock Smith <mhitch@netzero.net> > To: KYJOHNSO-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: Stambough/Lemaster > Date: Saturday, December 04, 1999 10:56 AM > > Bud, > From experience getting the sidelines doesn't hurt, not with all the > intermarriages that I have in and around Johnson County. > > Sincerely, > Marianne > Columbus, Ohio > > At 11:43 AM 12/4/99 EST, you wrote: > >Marianne: > >Thanks so much for your help. 3. Ann, I have a copy of Ruth Salyer's book, "The Blair Families and Related Families of Johnson County KY". There is a 4-page section on this couple and their offspring, (contains some "educated guessing"). She has Abigail's last name as "(Bluford) Brown". If you haven't seen it and are interested, let me know. Linda --- Ann Lemaster- Applegate <annapplegate@maysvilleky.net> wrote: > I descend from Noble Blair and Abigail Hayden's > daughter Sarah. 3. Bud, Martha Jane Lemaster was born Abt. 1834, in Morgan County, KY. She was the daughter of Lewis Lemaster born Abt. 1792, in South Carolina , and Martha Phillips born Abt. 1793 in Virginia. You are correct about Lewis, he is the son of Eleazor and Machall Tackett Lemaster. You are also correct about Fredrick's father being Samuel S. Stambaugh. Fredrick's mother was Charlotte Rogers. I have a listing of children for Martha and Frederick, if you are interested. I also have siblings for Martha. Hope this helps a little. Ann

    2. I would be very interested in the Blair information. I have a Abigail Brown who married James Boyd, Dec. 29, 1824. James, it is thought, first married a ?Blair. The Blair line is our newest development that I was unaware of. I know for a fact that Abigail Brown and James Boyd had one son, named Huey. I think William and Andrew are also sons, but having one heck of a time finding records to indicate this. Could you ck the book for Boyds, Packs, Browns. They came from Russell Co., Monroe Co., Augusta VA. Any information considered helpful! Sincerely, Laurie Wilcox

    3. Hello List. I was wondering if someone might be able to help me. My great aunt Menta ( Minnie) Barker married Elijah Fields Aug. 9, 1895 in Johnson Co. At some point Elijah was killed in a logging accident and Aunt Minnie married a Stumbough. Some say his given name may have been Elijah also. Does anyone have any knowledge of the accident that killed Elijah Fields or the correct given name of Aunt Minnie`s second husband ?Stumbough? Any information will be greatly appreciated.
