Phebee was m. to Jesse Henson, Sr. about 1848 probably in Kentucky. Of interest to me is the surname of Robinette. I have a great uncle Samuel Jasper Haws who married Anna Francis Robinette in KY. Samuel was b. Johnson County 1859. The family moved to Wise County, VA where Samuel was killed in a mine collapse or cave-in era 1903. Anna Francis remarried and moved back to one of the south east counties of KY. I have better information and will dig through my notes it this looks like one of yours. Hello Cousin Jim: Thanks for your interest. You can bet that Anna Francis is a relative, although I did not find her in my family index (it's in sad shape and very outdated). We, the Robinett Family Association of America have been actively compiling Robinett (Robinette, Robnett) data since 1982 when we formed the association. Before that family research had been done by several different people since the late 1800s. We have come to the conclusion that virtually all Robinetts in America are descendants of Allen and Margaret Symm Robinett, who were among William Penn's First Purchasers and came to Pennsylvania in 1682. We have two of Allen's Bibles on display at the Robinett Room, Reeves Library, Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri. Hi everyone, I am researching the following: Blair, Spradlin, Selvage, Blanton, Hitchcock, Conley. I would love to hear from someone that is doing the Selvages. Even if it is only a family story. My dad started doing research on them in 1972 and he died in 1991 with no answers to his questions. He is the reason that I am into genealogy today. I want to finish what he set out to do. Hi Amy, I am searching for DANIEL in Kentucky; don't know if they were ever in Johnson Co., KY but here they are: Joseph DANIEL, died in hospital in Cumberland Fort, KY (now Pineville, Bell Co.,KY.) He is buried in Pineville, Bell Co., KY; and his wife, Levisa Greenlee DANIEL is buried in Laurel Bridge, Laurel Co., KY. She died at her home 29 Aug. 1897. Joseph DANIEL died 9 May 1862 in the hospital from a disease related to his Union Army Service. John Lewis DANIEL, lived in Laurel Co., KY with his wife, Nancy (unknown maiden name) she was born in KY in 1845. They had a son, William Lewis DANIEL, born in Laurel Co., KY June 30, 1865. John Lewis DANIEL and Nancy ? were married 02/08/1864 and we don't know; but think, they were married in Kentucky since they moved to Madison Co., NC and were there for the 1870 census. I have been unable to get a birth certificate for William Lewis Daniel. I hoped I would get it from London, KY, County Seat for Laurel Co., but they don't have a birth certificate for him there. His mother's maiden name would be on that birth certificate and that is what I'm searching for. I doubt you are connected to this Daniel line but I thought it was worth a try. Hi to all, I have been watching this list and the names and now that you all are doing roll call I thought I'd put in my two cents. I once read that almost everybody was related and now I'm going to have to agree. My main lines of search are: SALYER,LONG,MCKENZIE,MCKINSTER,CONLEY The other lines that come in to and out of the family are: Picklesimer,Blanton,LeMaster,Stapleton,Wheeler,Sloan,Fairchild,Ramey and a few more I'm sure that I can't remember right now. I am new at this and am so surprised at how helpfull you all are in sharing and checking in to things for each other.This has been a wonderful journey for me to discover about my grandparents and on back. Hi Donna, right away I see two main surnames in common, HALL and GOBLE. My GGGrandfather John M. Hall b. 1822 in NC married Susan/Susannah Goble/Gobble in 1845. They had eight children, three born in VA the others on Buffalo Creek in Johnson Co.,KY. If these names ring a bell let me know. Susan's family I have back to Germany, John M. Hall, I only know his father DAVID died in 1822-23 in Rowan Co.,NC. Of John M.'s mother BETTY MUSIC I know nothing of her or DAVID's ancestors....Ron Hall
