Rita: Thanks so much for checking for Samuel Patrick. I have a lot of information on his wife Elizabeth's family. Samuel has been my "brick wall" ever since I started genealogy back in 1979. I just can't find anything at all about him. Thanks again. Bud

Carrie: If you feel that nobody on five lists knows nothin, you evidently need to travel far and wide to libraries, court houses, dungeons, and wherever else one can find historical records, to find the information for yourself rather than to depend on "folks who don't know nothin." Bud Caudle
I am wondering if anyone has information about the Coffee family. We have 3 people with the last name of Coffee in our family file. They were married to Gambill siblings. My husband is a direct descendant of Chilton and Miram (#3 below). We do not know if the Coffee's were also siblings. Does anyone have information about this family? 1. Elizabeth Coffee was married to Sherman Gambill b Bet. 1849 - 1867 in Lawrence County, Kentucky 2. Isaac Coffee was married to Sallie Gambill b. Bet. 1849 - 1867 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. 3. Miram Jane Coffee b. 1869 in Indiana d. 1909 in Redbush, Kentucky was married to Chilton Jeams Gambill b. Bet. 1860 - 1861 in Tennessee. They were married on October 01, 1885 in Tennessee. Miram's heritage was of French-Indian descent. Her mother was 1/2 Cherokee and 1/2 French. In 1884, at the age of 15, she married Chilton Jeams Gambill. They moved to Redbush, Kentucky. They reared four children, two boys and two girls. She died in 1909 of consumption, a lung disease, probably brought on by the long hours working in the tobacco fields. Any help will be appreciated. Sharon
Bill Mattheis: We've corresponded before, but I never noticed until now that you have Mankins in your family. It's a sideline of mine that I've worked on some, but not enough. I have a John Henry Mankins married to a Sarah Ann Payne, but don't know when nor where. I have a listing of their kids, but their oldest, Bonnie Mankins was born 1904 at Harrison, Arkansas. The family was in Lincoln County, Oklahoma at least by 1921 as that is when Bonnie married my mom's Uncle George Harrison Rust. Do you happen to have this family in your records? Bud Caudle
Bud, I too am so glad that you 'found' your grandkids! My granny used to say that 'Grandkids were God's reward for getting old'. I am only 50 but I have a grandson who will be 3 this month. Boy was granny RIGHT!!! I am sure that if you ask God's help He will show you the way. My prayers are with you! Have a Happy Holiday! Sincerely, Julie Van Hoose Hussain
Hello. This is my first time to post. I am working on finding Robert Young and his wife Fannie LeMaster. I found them at Ulysses, KY in Lawrence Co. and am told they also lived at Van Lear in Johnson Co. Has anyone researched this couple? I am particularly interested in locating Fannie's parents. Any clues? Douglas Cartier ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Bill Mattheis - you sound like a "blood" brother. Some of our ancestors may have hollered across the hills to each other. I'd like to hear some of the first names of your ties in the Mankins, Hitchcock, etc. families. My directs are---Arbuth and Laura Schofield Nott moved to Floyd Co via NY and OH. Son, William H. H. Nott married Phebe Remy, d/o John Remy, Jr and Peggy Hitchcock. My ties to the Mankins family occurred after the whole bunch moved to Washington Co AR. William and Phebe Nott's son, John A. A. Nott married Sarah Fine, d/o of William B. Fine and Millie Mankins. Millie was d/o of Peter Mankins, Sr. Peter's mother, Masa, was reportedly a full-blood Delaware Indian. I've also found English, German, Dutch, French, Swedish, Irish and Scots. email me direct if you wish. beejay@datalinkok.com (And anyone else interested.) re the Lemaster family. My Fines would probably come close if not exceed being as prolific as you-all say the Lemasters are. I have no direct tie but would like to say that one of the nicest correspondents that I have had the pleasure of exchanging letters with, is Johnnie Lemaster. If any of you know him, say Hello for me. To All on the List: May your Christmas be joyous and the coming year the best ever! A Jayhawker (born), Okie (adopted), Ozarker (proud of it) Betty J. Right, and when you have both, you really are related to everyone.
