Can any Eastern Kentucky sleuth help me with this one? Some time ago I downloaded "The Captivity of Jenny Wiley" by Luther F. Addington. I have what I thought I wanted on a floppy, but now I "think" there was more that I didn't download. And, of course, I didn't keep the url. Does anybody know what web site that story is posted on? If so, please send me the url! Many thanks, ===== Earl B. What a wonderful story. Every county needs someone like this person.
Is there anyone on this list who has any knowledge of GRADY DANIELS? Grady was/is the son of BERTHA FIELDS and ROSCOE DANIELS. He was borne ca. 1910. Thanks for any information. Barbara Johnson
Wendy, Thanks for the link on the cemetery restoration project. Now don't we all wish each county had one of these individuals that did that to help preserve our history. Deanna Levito
It would be nice if we could all get together in the Spring and do some research together and maybe also help ANN clean some of the cemeteries that have been neglected. One other idea I have for the ones that live too far away to make the journey is to send us a list of the research needs they have in Johnson County and the ones that can make the trip take one of the list and help that person out. Just a thought. Mary in Columbus, Ohio
Ann, I am game. Willing to travel from Jersey say spring time? Deanna Levito Researching: Burchett, Cantrell, Fyffe, Hamilton, Keeton, Lemaster and Pennington
Candy, Springfield, Ohio is the county seat for Clark Co. Ohio. Springfield is between Columbus and Dayton Ohio on I 70. Barbara Estep-Holbrook [Snowytop@aol.com]
Hi all, I live in Clark Co. Ohio too, nice to know so many of us live in the same area and we are researching some of the same people. Barbara Estep-Holbrook [Snowytop@aol.com]
I just remembered that I heard that Paintsville High School is having an "all classes" reunion next fall over Labor Day Weekend. My graduating class is also thinking of having their own class reunion that weekend. Do you think any others from our list would be gathering in Paintsville/Johnson Co. at that time, which would give more of us "out-of-staters" an opportunity to attend a Johnson Co. List gathering? I would certainly love to meet everyone. ....Marilyn Daniel Chesney mchesney@pe.net http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lake/7997 Fax #: (419) 828-4188 ICQ #1486742 -----Original Message----- From: shannon daniels <shan146@webtv.net> To: KYJOHNSO-L@rootsweb.com <KYJOHNSO-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Wednesday, December 15, 1999 8:20 PM Subject: Re: Johnson County Gang Please count me in for a Johnson County List gathering!!!!! I live in Washington (the state), so it would be a bit problematic for me to get there, but boy would I love it. Made my first trip to Paintsville last Feb. and it was truly like going home! I'm not sure there is a STATE large enough to hold us all! They were a prolific group! I agree....Had already been thinking that we need a Borders/ Sellard reunion... but you have a point... where is big enough????? Seriously I am VERY interested in doing that, if we could figure how, how where and when. Nancy
Bud, Faith and I attended a family reunion together summer before last. She can witness my tallness...and the blonde curly hair also..LOL And coincidentally , when I was a little girl, my family and I lived in Faith's grandfather's house! Ann
