One of our own is very ill. Sydney Mullins, 3 year old daughter of Terry and Kathy Mullins of Hi Hat, Floyd Co., KY, has been diagnosed with a serious (perhaps fatal) heart disease. Terry is the son of Herman and Mildred Mullins, of Hi Hat. and Kathy is the daughter of the late Thelma Burke of Knott Co. Sydney needs to be evaluated for a heart transplant in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, her parents' insurance DOES not cover this, and the hospital is requiring an substantial up-front payment. http://community-2.webtv.net/melell/SydneyMullins/ This page had more infomation. It will also include upcoming dinners, dances etc. being held on Sydney's behalf. Again, please forgive the non-genealogy posting, but please help if you can. Jill Elliott
am sorry I got the names mixed up. I never knew Troy, Bill and Hazel, they must have been much older than me. My name is Elcine Tackett Hall. I grew up just two houses away from the Pack's in Kingaddition. We lived on the sharp curve just after you passed the old drive in theatre. We just had the Tackett/Adkins reunion in Paintsville on July 22. We thought Mary, Jimmy, Lillian and Paul were coming but do not know what happened that they did not show. Mary has invited us to the Pack and Medding reunion before but we have not been able to be in Paintsville at the time of your reunion. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rachel E. Hi Gang! I'm back. We had a terific time at the Daniel-McCoy-Stapleton Millenium Reunion this past weekend held at West Union,Oh July 29,2000. There was approximately 65 in attendance including 6 newcomers from as far away as Michigan. Then it was off to W. Va, Va, and North Carolina for some serious research. While at the reunion I took lots of pictures which I'm begining to put on the website. While at the reunion, I was treated to something really special. I was shown the Memorial Record from the funeral of my Great - Great Grandfather Daniel Jasper Daniel who passed away October 03, 1936 in Ashland,Ky. There are a lot of familiar surnames to all you researchers and I have posted his obituary on the website. I was able to pick up on a line of the Daniel family that remained in Wayne Co.,NC and also we finnaly found out who my wife's Great-Great-Great Grandparents were, which was the main reason for going to Wayne Co. I'm going to wait and post the Daniel research when I'm certain of the connection. Right now it's iffy. All in all the 1440 mile trip was great and the sights of the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains were beautiful. But like they say" There's no place like home". Hey Bill, Welcome back! Glad to hear you had such a wonderful trip. You may have seen my post to the list when you returned home but in case you didn't, I want to mention to you that I recently acquired some old McKenzie and Gambill photos. I don't think they are old enough to go back to where our families make a connection, but you might find them interesting. Check them out at : http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=573222 I need to also mention that the photopoint site is experiencing a lot of problems today so you may not be able to access it for awhile. I'm going to check out your website now. Go to my website at:http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~regen At the bottom of the page click on the links icon and that should take you to my links page. You may have to do it a couple of times. AOL is really messed up lately and there's times that I have to access my own website twice before I can get into it. Let me know if you are still having problems and I'll see what else I can do. Bill

I am related to the Daniels, Castles, and Grimms--My grandmother was Castle. Although I have some information on our line [I do remember a Basil, I believe...a brother or of one of my direct ancestors], I have not researched these yet. I will see what little I have and try to get back to you. Jody: This is my line of Daniels. James Daniel married Nancy Belcher about 1788. After James death Nancy married Samuel Thomas Sellards (brother of Catherine Elizabeth Sellards Borders & Jenny Sellards Wiley). Per Clayton Cox Samuel helped to raise Nancy & James 3 sons, Thomas, George & Isham. You can find them listed on my Family Tree Maker page and some information on my website. www.libby-genealogy.com http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/p/r/e/Clara-Preston-OH/index.html Libby Preston ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2000 8:06 AM Subject: Re: [KYJOHNSON] Re:Jacob Castle web page? > Sue, this must be a different Daniel line. Jody I seem to have gotten your letter mixed up with another I got on Basil
Hi Jody, we are of the same James Daniel line but your andcestor is Isham and mine is his bro. George. do you have the maiden name of Nancy, the wife of james? I think her maiden name was Belcher and someway Sellards fits in here. Keep in touch i may have some info. you can use on Isham I`ll have to ck. Sue Engle Drake in Al. I am desc from Basil Daniel who md Arminta Castle. I have 2 Castle lines so I may be related to Basil Daniel from a different line than you are. My line is Basil Daniel son of Edward and Mary Castle Daniel who was son of George Daniel and Sally Dorton and then to James and Nancy Daniel.
Hi Vickie, I am currently working on the 1920 census and I've already uploaded a good bit of it including indexes on my website at:http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~regen/links.htm I will be putting more on as time allows. I hope it helps. Bill
