Faith: Thanks so much for the prayers. As far as I could tell from tonight's news, prayers are being answered quickly. Most have been contained. Here at Guthrie, the firefighters will be out all night working on hotspots and flareups. they're expecting the same tomorrow. 18 homes just to the south edge of our town of Guthrie were destroyed. Still waiting to hear from some of our friends who lived in that area. Thanks again. Bud
Dear friends, It seems I have been able to find a small minor crack in my wall and perhaps with some help I can get out a brick or two. This is what I found: 1900 Martin Co Census 059-14a James Litton(Litten) b. April 1869 age 32 married 9 years b. in W.Va. father in KY Head of household Margaret Litton b. march 1869 age 31 m. 9 yrs b. KY KY ? Daniel Litton b. Aug. 1892 age 7 b. KY KY KY Ethel Litton b. Feb 1895 age 5 b. W.VA. KY KY Etta Litton b. June 1896 age 3 b. W.VA. KY KY I just realized that I left one of the daughters on a post it note at work. But hopefully with the info provided someone may recognize this family. Ethel would be my grandmother who died around 1933-34 of TB. Know NOTHING about this family so could sure use a little (ha) help! Ethel married James Welch. They lived in Pike Co.KY, Johnson Co KY, Martin Co,Kermit W.VA., and StoneCoal W.VA., My mother was Mary Louise Welch. At home they always called her Louise. She was born in 1933 in Ponds Creek, Goody, Ky. Bud you and everyone else in Oklahoma will be in my prayers tonight. Keep safe. Mary
Please pray for the people of Oklahoma. It seems we are to be burned out. More than 100 serious fires across the state today. Right here, we haven't had a drop of rain in 52 days. The humidity is down to 10% to 15% and the wind is around 30 miles per hour. And being selfish, I ask especially for prayers for my own town of Guthrie. The fires are on the southern edge of town and heading for the city itself at this time. Another fire is very near my brother near Davis & Sulphur in southern Oklahoma. I am going to put this out to my entire address book, including the genealogy mailing lists, which I know I am not supposed to do. But this is very serious. If you are some of my relatives and living in Oklahoma anyhow, I'm sure you are already praying. I won't be on here much tonight, so I'm sending it to every one at one time. Love and prayers to all, Bud Caudle Guthrie, Oklahoma
Per the East Kentuckian siblings of Eleanor Jayne are: Daniel Jayne Henry Jayne Katherine Jayne Jemima Jayne Sarah Jayne (my relative) Margaret Jayne
The East Kentuckian March 1980 Eleanor jayne, b ca 1797/8 in Washington Co., VA., m in Floyd Co., KY., April 4, 1813, Francis "Big Frank" Lemaster, b ca 1793, S.C., son of Eleazor and Machell (Tackett) Lemaster. Frank's Creek in the Winifred area of Johnson County reportedly was named for Big Frank. His Lemaster family had migrated through Knott County, KY. on their movement from S.C. to Johnson County. Frank died of Lung Fever in Johnson County, Sept 29, 1858. The 1850 Johnson County census shows William Jayne, a farmer, age 74 was living in the household adjacent to his dau Eleanor. The 1860 census lists William as age 85 and living in his dau, Eleanor's household.

Hello, Could someone tell me if Ramey and Remy/Remey are the same family? Also if Jayne, Joynes, Joines, Jones are the same family? Also, does anyone connect with Joshua Wheeler and Keziah Pack who might be able to tell me if my information on this family is correct? Thanks, Nancy
I have Eleanor Jayne as having died August 18, 1852. No documentation and don't know where I got the info. I also have her with a sister Susan born about 1804. I don't have a second husband listed, either, although I just noticed in my records I have two different marriage dates to Big Frank Lemaster. That makes my print out look like two husbands. I also show Dorcus Ramey died June 16, 1869 in Johnson County, KY. Still, no documentation on this. Help, anyone?? Bud
My pleasure. Bill
Thanks so much. Everyone has really been helpful to me on this. I appreciate you taking the time to help me. Again thanks. Bill Reed
Bill, you have been a very busy man. Thanks for putting all this information on the Internet for people that have roots in Johnson County, Kentucky. Mary
