I have been shuffling the name Patience Holman around for years wondering if she were the correct person. Long ago I found a listing of James and Patience's marriage, but just could not pin it down for sure. Jefferson and Catherine Nave's marriage certificate has James Dean as the father, so that was pretty definite. Would you know if the middle initial H. in Jefferson's name could be HOLMAN? I copied Josh Dean's letter of January 12, 1999 and he listed 12 children for James and Patience..among them a son Thomas Holman Dean. I wonder if they could have used Holman twice. It has occured in another family that I was researching...who knows? Again, thanks very much.
