They all came from Germany. Two settling in Pennsylvania, and one decided to go "west". I wonder if your Joseph is my Christophers brother??? Christophers name was Georg Christoph Bauman and he was born in Ems, near Melbach. They also had a "cousin" named Hans Dieter Bauman who came to America in 1727. If you think their might be a connection I have plenty on my line and would be willing to share. I would love to find his cousin, and two brothers. Carol
