Morning All, I want to ask you to do me a favor, or while we are at it maybe two favors. #1 When someone e-mail you and ask about Jessamine County, make sure you give the address of this List, and tell them how to sign on. I try to do this but sometimes forget. #2 Several years ago Bryce Stevens started keeping track of all our members. Bryce list your mailing address, your e-mail address, you phone number and the families you are researching. We have a copy of this at the Jessamine County Historical. This list will not be copied or post anywhere. It is for our use only. Here is the way it works. If you are a member of the Historical Society, send Bryce you information. He will keep track of our out of state members. We will keep track of our members here in Jessamine County, and send Bryce a list to up date every now and then. You ask why we do this. We learn from each other. About 75% of the research you do, someone, somewhere has already done it. If we, as a society can connect people researching the same families, our work is more then half done. Another thing too. I am not the type of person that it impressed by numbers, but some of the people we work with are. So for this reason, we need to keep our membership high.
