I am beginning to research my wifes maternal ancestry. My wife's mothers' maiden name was Darlene Thompson. Her mother's name was Lotela Stapp (b: 17 June 1905 in Nicholasville, KY). Lotela's parents were John M. Stapp (b:15April1858, d:31Dec1942) and Florence Hill (b: 2Jan1864, d: 1922). Lotela's siblings were Raymond, Freeman (b: 1887), Gracie (Mrs. Million), Blanche, and Mary (Mrs. DeFrance). Do any of these names sound familiar to you??
