Yvonne, I have information regarding James/John McCune. He married Sallie Ann Grapes, daughter of John Grapes and Margaret Dougherty. Margaret Dougherty was the daughter of John Dougherty and Elizabeth Miles. James/John married a second time after the death of Sallie Ann in 1877 to Sarah Elizabeth Dougherty, daughter of Joseph Dougherty and Catherine "Kitty" Gatewood. Joseph was the son of John Dougherty and Elizabeth Miles and Kitty was the daughter of Richard Gatewood and Jane Anderson. I have additional information regarding George and Joseph McCune, possible siblings of James/John McCune and Mary/Martha McCune Dougherty. Looking forward to exchanging information with you, too.
