They moved to a farm in Gallatin Co. where they had three boys, Melvin Clinton, William Edward, and Alexander Marshall and four girls who married Butler Cleveland, Robert Bruce, Marion Swango, and Francis G. Munzer, before John was shot in front of his family by Union soldiers in 1864. As a widow, Mary lived in Carroll Co., where she is buried. WHO were Mary Ellen's parents?
