WALKER (bc 1776 VA - d. 1850 Jessamine Co., KY) who came early to Jessamine Co., KY. Written material of my great-uncle of Jessamine Co. has that Matthew was related to Gen. George Walker, but didn't show the relationship. It was probably written around 1900. I've never found how they are related or if they are related. Seems there are several Walker families in early Jessamine. Material on Col. George Walker and some of his children is in the "Genealogies of Virginia Families", Vol. 5, p.334. It also tells of Jacob Wythe Walker. There is also a sketch of Gen. George Walker in "History of Jessamine Co., KY" by Young. If you find anything on a Matthew Walker please let me know.
